What we know so far about the KFC x Diablo 4 collab/promo for launch, including rewards such as in-game items via QR codes.
First Published May 30, 2023, 16:15
The Early Access beta of Diablo 4 in March was the first time that most gamers and fans of the iconic ARPG franchise were able to experience Lilith's return to Sanctuary. There was, however, something a bit hard to swallow for some fans in the KFC Double Down promotion featuring Diablo 4 Early Access keys.
Not everyone likes the sandwich, and the promo was for those in the US, leaving some Diablo 4 fans with empty stomachs and having to wait another week to experience the game for the first time. However, it appears their prayers have been answered as a new Diablo 4 x KFC Collab has begun, with in-game rewards to claim with your purchase of some delicious KFC.
Update on 30 May 2023: We will endevour ot keep this article updated with the latest news surrounding the Diablo 4 x KFC launch promotion. So be sure to check back here frequently for more news.
Diablo 4 KFC Launch Promo Start & End Dates
After some recent speculation and rumors surrounding this collab, we finally have confirmation that starting on 29 May, players will have the option to buy a Sandwich or Sandwich Combo Meal on the KFC website or KFC app (Not in-store) to acquire their initial code. From 30 May onwards, they can connect their KFC accounts with their Battle.net accounts to exchange this code for an in-game cosmetic.
Players can keep purchasing specific KFC menu items until they have obtained all five unique cosmetic rewards, with the ending date being on the 2 July. Now that you know where and how to take part in this collab, let's check out the rewards available and how you can claim them.
KFC Promo QR Codes & Rewards for Diablo 4
Based on what we and other players have observed on the KFC app and website in the US, there are five in-game rewards available for Diablo 4 through the KFC Promo. To get these rewards, you need to scan a QR code found on the back of KFC packaging after linking your Battle.net account to your KFC account.
These exclusive in-game rewards are specifically for those who purchase a "KFC Sandwich" variant (shown above) through the website or app, as mentioned before. If you're playing Diablo 4, you should be able to redeem all five rewards by making four more purchases after the first one.
The cheapest meal option you can buy costs USD 4.99, so it'll cost you around USD 25 if you want to unlock all five in-game cosmetics. While it sounds simple enough, there has been some confusion about the promotion and its availability across different states.
hey @kfc how do I cop these Diablo 4 codes in store? You have the signs up but no one here knows how to get em. Nothing on the app either. Help a brother out! pic.twitter.com/mwbPVd7lqM
— Fappuccino (@triplebud) May 29, 2023Lots of Diablo 4 fans have confirmed that the promotion is happening, with KFC running ads and using Diablo-themed packaging for the meals. But some players are having trouble understanding how to get valid purchase codes. It's interesting because even some KFC staff members themselves seem unsure about how the promotion works, as noted by Twitter user Triplebud.
On the bright side, some players have had better luck with the collaboration. Aodan, a popular Diablo 4 content creator, managed to get codes and is helping other players who want to do the same.
#DiabloIV promotion at my fairly remote KFC.
You buy me the meal, I give you the key. DM for my Cashapp/Zelle/PayPal.

— Aodan (@AodanTV) May 29, 2023For now, we hope that Blizzard and KFC can clear up the confusion and give players clear instructions on how and where to join this collaboration and claim the rewards. But for now, just find a participating store near you and order online through the app or website from now until the 2nd July to get your hands on these awesome Diablo 4 x KFC promo rewards.
That's everything we know so far about the Diablo 4 x KFC launch promo, from how it will work to the in-game items, QR codes, and more. As time goes on and more content is possibly added through this promotion, we will be sure to update this article. We'll see you all in Sanctuary and be sure to enjoy your KFC lunch and Diablo 4 rewards!
